New “Trespassing Bill” to Protect Politicians From Dangers of Free Speech

XL Pipeline protest outside White House

Under the law, any building or grounds where the president is visiting — even temporarily — is covered, as is any building or grounds “restricted in conjunction with an event designated as a special event of national significance."

Rick Santorum hit with glitter-bomb

He seems to actually like getting hit with magic fairy dust. Strange that after this new law was passed about protesting near people with secret service protection, Santorum asked for that same protection.

(Washington, D.C.) The “Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act” passed the House of Representatives by a margin of 399 to 3 on Monday and now has unanimously passed the Senate.

This law is meant to do things like trying to get on the White House lawn a felony. Ok, I get that. But it also says causing a disturbance around people with Secret Service protection or “an event designated as a special event of national significance” is a no-no.

So now I’m can face ten years in the slammer for glitter-bombing Santorum?

What the hell, it might be worth it.
