(New York City) In a press conference today, Mayor Bloomberg promised that the response to Hurricane Irene would be much better than that of the huge blizzard the crippled New York City this past winter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Julio's Mop Bucket<\/p><\/div>\n

“I’m tired of people thinking of me as some kind of aloof billionaire. I’m going to roll up my sleeves and be out there with the mop and bucket I borrowed from my super, Julio. At least I think his name is Julio. And I think he works in one of my buildings. I’ve got two of them right next to each other. I think.”<\/p>\n

“Anyway, I’ve got a mop and bucket. That’s the point.”<\/p>\n

“If it doesn’t work, I’m willing to pay for any damages out of my own pocket.”<\/p>\n

“Oh, and by the way,” Bloomberg added in his trademark stilted Spanish: “Kwee-da-doo, pizo mo-ha-do.”<\/p>\n
